どこかアジアの香りがするセラミックの器やお香立て、お箸やなどざまざまなアイテムの中に fog リネンやブラスのアイテムなどがあって、fog の製品をとっても気に入ってくれているみたい。
ちなみに kura は亀を意味するインドネシア語の kura-kura が語源。

Q.お店をオープンしたのはいつですか？また、きっかけは何ですか？
When and why did you start your store?
Kura Studioは 2018 年に、コミュニティのためのデザインや制作のためのプラットフォームとして設立されました。
建築の学びを通じて、私たちはデザインにとても興味を持つようになり、人間のスケール（建築のように大きなものではなく）でのデザインに夢中になりました。
このインスピレーションを元にスタジオ / オンラインストアを始めることになり、それが木材や陶器など、役に立つもの、便利なものをデザインし、作ることにつながりました。
また、世界中から良質の商品を取り寄せることで、より多くの人がそれらを家庭に取り入れ、興味や感心を持つきっかけになればと思っています。
Kura Studio was founded in 2018 as a platform to design, create and provide for the community. Through our studies in Architecture, we became very passionate about design and fell in love with designing for the human scale. Starting a studio/online store with this as the inspiration led us to design and create useful objects out of timber, ceramics and much more. It has also given us a passion to source a range of high-quality goods from around the world with the hopes that through making good-quality design more accessible, more people will be inspired to bring curiosity and thoughtfulness into their homes.

How did you get to know fog linen work?
最初に fog を紹介してくれたのは、素晴らしいアーティストである日系の友人でした。
彼女は、fog の洋服もティータオルも、リネンの品質は非の打ちどころがなく、タイムレスな色やプリントを幅広く取り揃えていると言っていました。
また、日本の fog のお店へ行くことは、彼女が日本を訪れた時にする最も好きなことのひとつだそうです。
特に、彼女が個人的に持っているフォグリネンワークのティータオルを見せてくれたときは、とても感動しました。
このティータオルは、時間が経つにつれて、とても柔らかくなり、手に持ったときの質感がとても良かったです。それから間もなく、私たちはオーストラリアの小さな Kura コミュニティーで fog の美しい製品を取り扱えないか問い合わせをしたんです。
Our half Japanese friend, who is an incredible artist, first introduced us to Fog Linen Work. She described the linens in both clothing and tea towels to be of impeccable quality and available in a wide range of timeless colours and prints. She also described visiting the Fog Linen Work store in Japan as one of her most favourite things to do; with everything displayed so beautifully and with such attention to detail. We were especially impressed when our friend showed us her personal collection of Fog Linen Work tea towels that had aged so well over time, becoming a super soft texture in the hand. It wasn’t long after this that we enquired with Fog Linen Work whether we could bring their beautiful products to our little Kura community here in Australia.

How do you describe your store and what are you carrying?
私たちは、「流行」にとらわれることなく、時代を超えた誠実で美しいものに囲まれることで、人生はより豊かになると信じています。
私たちは、テーブルウェア、花瓶、メディテーション（瞑想）やアロマテラピーのための器から、創造的な手造りの彫刻まで、幅広いハンドメイドの陶磁器を扱っています。
また、キッチンツール、リネン、アロマなど、家の中の空間を楽しむ際に五感を刺激するような小さな家庭用品も幅広く取り揃えています。
