When did you open your store?
Lucky Catは 2022 年 4 月にオープンしましたが、お店のコンセプトは数年前から計画していました。
私たちは、マウイ島という小さな島で、いろいろなところから集めた美しく質の良い品々のためのスペースを作りたいと考えていました。
Lucky Cat opened its doors in April of 2022, but the concept for our space has been brewing for several years. We wanted to create a space for beautiful, high quality pieces on the little island of Maui, sourcing objects from both near and far.

How did you get to know fog linen work?
以前から Fog Linen の商品に憧れていました。4 年ほど前、南カリフォルニアのセレクトショップで偶然リネントレーに出会ったの。そしてLucky Cat の在庫を調達し始めたとき、Fog Linen は最初にコンタクトを取ったブランドのひとつだったわ。
シンプルなデザインは、私たちのショップにぴったり。
I’ve been an admirer of Fog Linen’s pieces for quite some time. About four years ago, I stumbled across their linen trays at a boutique in Southern California.
When I began sourcing inventory for Lucky Cat, Fog Linen was one of the first brands I reached out to. The simplistic nature of each piece fits perfectly with our shop.

What is your favorite fog linen item? How do you like it?

今、私が一番気に入っているのは、楕円形の真鍮のトレイかしら。シンプルで美しく、用途が広いんです。
ベッドサイドに置いてキャンドルを置いたり、キッチンでハンドソープを置いたり、リビングで花瓶の横に置いたり、何をしても間違いのないアイテムよ。
It’s tough to choose just one!
Right now, I think my favorite piece might be the oval brass tray. It’s simple, beautiful, and versatile.
Layer it on a bedside table with a candle, style it in the kitchen with hand soap, or in the living room next to a vase — you can’t go wrong.

What do you expect fog linen to produce in the future?
ぜひ織物のラインアップを充実させてほしいです。
バスケットやトレイに使用されるシーグラスやラタンなどの素材は、既存のコレクションに美しくはまると思うわ。
I would love to see Fog Linen develop an expanded woven line.
Materials like seagrass and rattan for baskets and trays could be a beautiful addition to their existing collections.
